nitroshift Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Hi guys!I'm about to buy this. Could you please give some input / advice? Thanks.nitro
jcarle Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Personally, if it's not a reputable brand of LCDs such as Viewsonic and/or NEC, I wouldn't bother.
nitroshift Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 I know, but with Christmas knocking at the door and all the presents I have to make, I think this is the best quality / price balanced monitor (220 Euro).
jcarle Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 I'm not sure where to look for prices in Europe, but the Viewsonic VA1912wb should be at a similar price with 3 years warranty.
nitroshift Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 The one I wanna buy comes with 3 years warranty too plus I get dead-pixel warranty too.
ripken204 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 well the specs seem fine, but like others said, the manufacturer?...a dead pixel warranty is nice tho. any place ur planning to buy this from so i can check for other monitors there? and whats ur price range?
Maleko Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Neve rheard of that company, I love Viewsonic TFT's, theres a ace 20" I want soon...but costs £300!
LLXX Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Personally, if it's not a reputable brand of LCDs such as Viewsonic and/or NEC, I wouldn't bother. You have to take a look at the manufacturer of the LCD panel itself (not the casing and everything else around it). It might be an NEC or some other brand, but most of these small LCD monitor manufacturers just buy standard parts, assemble them into their own case and sell them.
nitroshift Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 The panel is made by NEC And I'm getting it for 220 euro in 3 monthly installments
puntoMX Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I sold Yakumo years ago in Holland. Always they used tubes from Samsung and Daewoo, LCD screens were from Samsung or NEC too.I read that the power supply is internal and I’ve only seen bad TFT/LCD screens with external power supply like GEM.Did you take a look at Hyundai too? They have nice screens for low prices…
