Jeremy Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 There are programs that perform "Burn-In" tests on pretty much every part of your system. If you had the 56k modem connected to the Internet, you could just monitor bandwidth for a few hours to make sure everything's fine with it.As for graphics cards, you could use 3DMark 2006.Other than that you could just use the parts in games and online for a while and if everything seems ok, then off they go...
LLXX Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 sorry but if i knew what to earch for on google(keywords) i wouldnt post here .at least tell me what keywords to search for.MODEM TESTER didn't come to mind?
Woomera Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 ok maybe u guys didnt understand me well enough.im not talking about importing 20-50 modems and Graphic cards.im talking about 1000-1500 maybe more devices.i cant test them with 3dmark or softwares.i need a hardware like a big board that test 10+ modems or graphic cards at same time.sorry but if i knew what to earch for on google(keywords) i wouldnt post here .at least tell me what keywords to search for.MODEM TESTER didn't come to mind? yeah that came in mind but u really think that would help me?
puntoMX Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Why not buy a sample? 100pcs first and see how much are bad?And why do business if you don’t trust them? Are they really cheap? Is this the first time you import stuff? If they are cheap then who cares if 20% is defective in one year.Normally 5% is going to be defective with bad hardware, good hardware in the 1 to2% range. It’s not about testing, it’s knowing your business .
Woomera Posted December 3, 2006 Author Posted December 3, 2006 yeah PUNTO that makes sence and i agree with you.but thats true in the world that you guys live in.its my friend that wanna do this not me and i dont agree with what hes about to do but he asked this question and i said i help him find the answer.but if you really wanna know how its gonna be im gonna tell you. theres this company in china that will makes a graphic boards for you.what my friend is about to do is to buy graphic cards chipsets like nvidia 7600 and then give them to this company to make the boards.god knows what will be the name of that board.thats why that they have to test them cause its a very good chance that there be a 50% not working products.before you say anything i know this is horrible and i dont like it neither.anyway i think noones knows any product that will help so i guess this topic is closed.
puntoMX Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Modems: Not worth the testing...nVidia 7600 cards: He should make an agreement for the DOAs...Other then that he’s stuck. Business is taking risks .
