Anyone running Win2k3 Sp1 v1039

Featured Replies

I've installed the SP1 v1039, but - silly me! - I don't know which fixes exactly it contains. Now this isn't such a problem in itself, but when I visit WindowsUpdate, it scans, gets to 100% and thats it - no message telling me whether there's anything to be downloaded or not. I downloaded the latest fix, (KB824146), but when I try to install it gives an error, that it may only be applied on an install without a service pack. Thing is, I don't know if this problem has been covered in the SP (I'm guessing not). Anyone else hit this problem, have a solution, or know what's actually in v1039?

OK, nice debate guys, but does anyone have any actual info for me? Is there anyone else using the v1039 SP? Or is it just me and Bill Gates? :)

Try checking your system date. Sometimes it gets changed during the install and is set into the future when Windows update thinks it does not exist..
