Can't disable SFC (Windows File Protection)

I have a problem with nLite. I use the most recent version available on the website and I can't disable Windows File Protection (SFC). The option is greyed out:

I have the Polish version of Windows XP with Service Pack 2.

I Don't think you should disable it: because it will put your Computer at risk. Maybe you already know this.

There are small apps. out there that let you turn it on ond off like a switch. Thats the way to go.

I'm facing the same situation. Though my ques is a bit different. I know that it's greyed out cos i've tried to disable it once. But since it says Enabled in the greyed out part i'm not so sure. Is it disabled for sure? Can someone pls confirm? Thx

Yes. As on the first example, if you look, it says "Enable" because that's the default, but it's greyed out because the option is not available because needed files have been removed.

k, thx for confirming. i should've known the reduced installation time's cos of disabling sfc, but didn't :)

bummer, the reduced installation time was cos of all the components i removed and not because of disabling sfc.

the option for disabling sfc is greyed out and yet windows has sfc enabled. i tried replacing notepad with notepad2 and it doesn't work. The original file is restored. Also i'm using wfpswitch (given above) to chk whether it's enabled or not. both ways i see that it is. what's wrong?
