tarzan007 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hello All,I have one basic query. In the vista site i can see that min HDD free space=15GB.does it mean I should have 15gb free space in the partition where i will be installing vista>????TIA,
ripken204 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 yes, you should definetly have at least 12gigs, 15gigs would be better tho just in case vista needs the space
tarzan007 Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 (edited) i am screwed now i have 40gb HDD, but no 15gb space in any one of the partitions Edited September 16, 2006 by tarzan007
sylvianorth Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 That's the beauty of Micro$oft....... making you buy new hardware to support Vista. I have a feeling that many people will be in the same boat.

tarzan007 Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 i agree, its tough to slim down Vista, but not impossible. It never asked me what features i want when i actually started installing. Moreover it cant upgrade my XP as it was FAT32 format
fizban2 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 80 gig HD is 40 bucks on Newegg, i know no one likes to spend money but HD space is cheap
