PC won't boot after detecting CPU

Hi,

my Mum's A64 system is refusing to boot up this morning. Basically, I turn it on, and it detects the CPU and hangs. I can't get into the BIOS and non the the keys (numlock / caps) work.

I have tested the RAM, Hard Drive etc...

I am thinking it might be the PSU?

I am not sure of the Motherboard, but it uses an ATI xpress chipset (fairly sure its an MSI board), athlon64 3200+, 600w PSU, 160gb Maxtor SATA.

Hope someone can help!

Yes indeed. took it back to the supplier today. Looks like it was hit by a power surge. The mobo, hard drive and vid card have all been knocked out. Even though it was plugged into a surge protector and had an nbuilt one in the psu. anywhoo, its all being covered by warranty :)
