have you played with the multiplier or the fsb in BIOS? I have had the same situation some time ago with an Athlon 2200+, it only showed 900 Mhz. Remember: computers make fast, accurate mistakes... :lol:

its definetly changing multipliers, cool n' quiet. what laptop model do u have? go into ur bios and disable cool n' quiet if u can find it.

Lol if it was CnQ, why would he want to disable it? Especially on a laptop. Turning it off will cause your processor to kill your battery life even faster. Just monitor your clock speed at peak usage and if it doesn't jump to 1.8GHz, then start worrying.
