August 4, 200620 yr its definetly changing multipliers, cool n' quiet. what laptop model do u have? go into ur bios and disable cool n' quiet if u can find it.
August 4, 200620 yr Lol if it was CnQ, why would he want to disable it? Especially on a laptop. Turning it off will cause your processor to kill your battery life even faster. Just monitor your clock speed at peak usage and if it doesn't jump to 1.8GHz, then start worrying.
