XP_2600 Posted June 14, 2006 Share Posted June 14, 2006 Guys i need your help, i got Toshiba portege 3480 CT laptop for my boss, he was in harry cause he need to take it in a buisness trip, anyway i got it for him (used for sure) and i didnt test the sound thing he go in his trip and when he back he tried to play audio in it and he notice that there is no sound, i checked it i noticed that there is no sound card detected at all i ran scan for plug and play and so on nothing happend, i checked the bios too and there is no option for a built in sound card enable or disable at all, so what do you think it could be?, and in case its damaged can i get it replaced ? and can i get a usb sound device or something as a solution ? please help. nitroshift Posted June 14, 2006 Share Posted June 14, 2006 googling around, it seems that it does have a sound card, but being a second hand buy, it might be faulty. you can use a USB external sound card, of course. or get a pcmcia sound card (bit more expensive though). erpdude8 Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 XP_2600, what version of Windows is installed on the Toshiba Portege 3480CT laptop computer?The sound card drivers might be bad or not installed correctly.Go to the following Toshiba support site:http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su...kceghdgngdgnj.0and look for the Sound Drivers for the Portege 3480CT notebook PC.
