Kiki Burgh
same here Camarade Tux ... i clicked on this link too i think about a couple of days ago ...he! he!this system up for grabs?sound card could be made much better
Tomcat76
I need a lot of HDD space to test HFSLIP, hehe.As far as the sound card is concerned... I need this:- good quality- bass/treble controls in Windows Volume Control Panel- completely separate "line in" control in Windows Volume Control Panel (not some crappy "Analog Mix")Concerning the updates... I was wrong about MS06-021 & MS06-022 being skipped. I checked those earlier today and my browser's cache could've been responsible for them not showing up when I started this thread. Here's a rough draft of what's going to be on my hotfix pages in case you need stuff ASAP. My guess is that HFSLIP will have to be updated for the KB917344 update for Windows 2000 with JScript 5.6. HFSLIP treats it as a Type 1 hotfix. Note: the Malicious Tool was updated.KB916281 / MS06-021: Cumulative security update for MSIEReplaces MS06-013 (KB912812)Win2K with IE 5.01http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...2D-79EF8ABAEF4Fhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/0/c...sp4-x86-ENU.exeWin2K with IE6 & WinXP SP1http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...CC-41E1F3DEDE4Fhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/1/7...-XP-x86-ENU.exeWinXP SP2http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...1C-210E23FD8D81http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/f...281-x86-ENU.exeWin2K3http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...7B-946EE5E781E7http://download.microsoft.com/download/3/6...281-x86-ENU.exeKB918439 / MS06-022: Vulnerability in ART image renderingWinXP SP1http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...FB-2DB0E8C9EE3Chttp://download.microsoft.com/download/e/c...-XP-x86-ENU.exeWinXP SP2http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...9E-46876D068B9Ahttp://download.microsoft.com/download/3/5...439-x86-ENU.exeWin2K3http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...34-C59E8B7126D6http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/8...439-x86-ENU.exeKB917344 / MS06-023: Vulnerability in MS JScriptReplaces MS03-008 (KB814078)Win2K with JScript 5.1http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...D3-FB53D286C06Fhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/6/5...344-x86-ENU.EXEWin2K with JScript 5.6http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...80-7BD1DFEFB4F8http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/c...-56-x86-ENU.EXEWinXPhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...93-939FD5D3CDE6http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/6...344-x86-ENU.exeWin2K3http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...CE-49D7457D96D4http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/3...344-x86-ENU.exeKB917734 / MS06-024: Vulnerability in Windows Media PlayerReplaces MS06-005 (KB911565)WinXP SP1 with WMP8http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...08-1493ce3cd0bdhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/7/5...734-x86-ENU.exeWMP9http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...d7-520b7d240e33http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/8...734-x86-ENU.exeWinXP with WMP10http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...3f-6f2f12e001e0http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/2...734-x86-ENU.exeWin2K3 with WMP10http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...da-bbbe97371594http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/2...734-x86-ENU.exeKB911280 / MS06-025: Vulnerability in Routing and Remote AccessWin2Khttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...df-b6b61ec63715http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/1...280-x86-ENU.EXEWinXPhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...f1-3250e6b69728http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/7...280-x86-ENU.exeWin2K3http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...03-bc8deda00fechttp://download.microsoft.com/download/1/e...280-x86-ENU.exeKB914389 / MS06-030: Vulnerability in Server Message BlockReplaces MS05-011 (KB885250)Win2Khttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...68-028c58ed5df7http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/9...389-x86-ENU.EXEWinXPhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...5a-36b7865a030chttp://download.microsoft.com/download/d/d...389-x86-ENU.exeWin2K3http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...dc-2b9aef6e98fdhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/0/e...389-x86-ENU.exeKB917736 / MS06-031: Vulnerability in RPC mutual authenticationWin2Khttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...a2-107ce4f8c093http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/5...736-x86-ENU.EXEKB917953 / MS06-032: Vulnerability in TCP/IPReplaces MS06-007 (KB913446) and MS05-019 (KB893066)Win2Khttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...57-30d01e320ad1http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/4...953-x86-ENU.EXEWinXPhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...6e-5b957986efbfhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/0/0...953-x86-ENU.exeWin2K3http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...ee-d5b3488b90e0http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/a...953-x86-ENU.exe Edited June 13, 2006 by Tomcat76

Super-Magician
Yup, it's that day again. I completely forgot! Thanks for the updates, Tomcat! You're always on the job!By the way, I warned everyone about this!
Tomcat76
BTW... Previously, when running WinXP SP1 with WMP8, you needed the KB911565 update for WMP8 as well as the same update for WMP9. I wonder if MS "fixed" this with KB917734...
Super-Magician
Replaces MS06-007 (KB913446) and MS05-019 (KB893066)I do not find KB893066 on any of your update pages.
Tomcat76
@Super Magician: I just took whatever is on the MS article pages. I didn't have time yet to exclude those which were already obsolete.Bummer... Looks like KB911280 for Win2K is not supported. It contains a new binary (netdiag.exe) of which the destination is defined as follows: "destination determined at runtime". I see no other option than to install the hotfix as is from SVCPACK. Tomcat76
There *may* be problems with the KB914389 update for Windows 2003. I'm gonna see if the QFE binary versions can be used.
Super-Magician
Well, good luck on all the testing. If you want, I'll be an internal tester for you .
tommyp
If I do a manual install of kb911280 on 2k, I do not have a netdiag.exe after rebooting. Perhaps this is because my OS is so slimmed down it's not needed? I will test tomorrow on a regular 2k box.
Kiki Burgh
i am volunteering too for XP SP2?
Tomcat76
If you want, I'll be an internal tester for you .My imaginary girlfriend would strongly object... 60613a is out which fixes things for 2K and 2K3. I've seen no problems for XP by dissecting the hotfixes.@TommyP: I let HFSLIP 60613a put it in SVCPACK for now. We can see later if that binary is really that crucial.
