with the stock cooling my cpu idles @ 40 degrees centigrade. was actually looking into reducing its temperature and then see how much more i can get.

Not that you asked, but if you're thinking that a faster processor is going to speed up your games, then you're going down the wrong road. That 6600GT is probably holding you back far more than you current 3.46ghz processor speed and gig of 667mhz DDR2 ram.

Ended up buying this as the company that was supposed to deliver the scythe ended up with "we are sorry..."

i got the cooler stated in my last post and i must say it's up to the job. the cpu doesn't go over 45 degrees centigrade in full load. at idle, it stays @ 30.
