Jeremy Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Does anyone know of a small program that can be used to Monitor Incoming/Outgoing Traffic?

DigeratiPrime Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 winpooch dude. check the guide i posted. it will log ports and ips.
libin Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 you can use a firewall.for example Tiny, Mcafee Desktop firewall, Outpost,
Jeremy Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 Yes, I use Outpost Firewall, but I want a tool to show how much bandwidth is being used by an application, not just which application is using bandwidth.
jago_lfn Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Try PacketMon and NetStat Livehttp://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network.htm
Jeremy Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) smsniff works great, but doesn't seem to show overall bandwidth per application. Edited March 22, 2006 by Jeremy
jftuga Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 There is always the venerable WinDump.http://www.winpcap.org/windump/That said, I am sure one of the apps mentioned above would be more tolerable.-John
ajua Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 www.netlimiter.comand can limit bandwidth per program.
Zxian Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 I'd also say the free version of NetLimiter. I've got it on my desktop at home so I can see what each app is using, and how much total bandwidth I've used (since my ISP is stupid and caps usage per month... )
