Windows Movie Maker Alternative?

Featured Replies

Im looking for a simple replacement to Windows Movie Maker. I recently started recording video clips and want to make them into movies and mabye add some effects, music, etc. I cant seem to find a direct working download of windows movie maker, so i am just gonna try and find something simular/better and forget about it. Its funny cause i did download and install a copy i found, but it would close any time i tried to add effects etc to my video clips. Im guessing its cause i removed something with nlite. But at any rate im sure i can find something that will do the job.

Any advice would be greatly appriecated.

Thanks for your time.

P.S. Free software if possible.

cant say i know of any free ones, try www.softpedia.com for that.

Camtasia studio works great if u want to capture the screen or webcam.

@Shak3nNotStirr3d - well if you have a copy of Nero 7 laying around (which most people do), it had an excellent movie editing software right on it!

or Final Cut Pro

Sony Vegas is supposed to be nice to use too

or Final Cut Pro

Yeah, but it's only for the Mac... :}
