Tips for Cable & Wire Organization

my personal idea is if it can go behind something then it will.

also in some cases rounded cables may not be the greatest idea, flat and grey ones can do the job just as well if not better in some cases.

there are other ways too but most of the time it is very related to the case you have.

You could use Tie-wraps, but I know what people like more. They sell it in a good hardware store (the ones for screws and bolds ;) ), and the name Spiral-wrap.

Just a link to get an image: http://cableorganizer.com/images/spiral-wrap-big.jpg

And some more info: http://www.moddin.net/review.asp?ReviewID=144&PageNo=1

(I hope these links work :P )

They come in all kinds of colors, even in UV / Neon colors ;)

velcro wrap sucks for inside of case, not tight enough

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16812999111

here is the 100 pack, i already used mine up. i tied up everything in my room, its so much cleaner now. ill also get some more pics of my computer up, hopefully tomorrow. it looks even better now.

what else is nice about that 100 pack, it doesnt matter if u have to cut a tie b/c u will have plenty left.

Oh so you're just alking about good ol zip ties. That was my first idea on what to use, but then I see all these cases with big 'tubes' or a conduit so to speak with a group of wires in it making it look uniform, that looks good. But oh hell yeah, zip ties will work too lol.

i dont like those big tubes, they look pretty ugly to me. you can get some cable sleeving but you should still use zip ties with it. i have the ocz powerstream 520 and that is already sleeved so i dont need to bother with that.

mine looks even better now but my parents are out of town and they took the camera :(

To tell you the truth, I use Spiral-wrap, tie-wraps and Mounting Bases ( http://tiewraps.com/mountbase.html ). Tie-wraps are cheap but to order everything from Newegg is a bit overdone, Ripken dude, I know you like Newegg but to promote it that much isn´t healthy ;) (Newegg :thumbup).

Edit: spazmire11 has a point too, and there are also mounting-bases for flatcables ;)
