Intel® Pro/Wireless Mini LAN Card 802.11b (Mini PCI) ?

Featured Replies

ok i know this is a freaking noob question but,my brother bought a LG LT20 and in the desription it said it has blutooth but there is no blutooth device just "Intel® Pro/Wireless Mini LAN Card 802.11b (Mini PCI)".

i wanted to know if this is the device that makes blutooth connection possible?

thanks.

Nope! This is a wireless device - WiFi. That is not Bluetooth device. No connection is possible to bluetooth devices through that device.

Sorry...

hmm, actually some models of the intel mini pci cards actually have bluetooth on them as well as the wireless, you can check by looking at the card (there will be little plugs on it that connect the wireless arial onto it) if its bluetooth also you will see an additional little plug for it.... :thumbup

actualy its a notebook so i cant open it to see on the devie.anyway i can check from outside or with a software?

YOu can actually open up notebooks to see what's inside, if the manufacturer made the wifi card a user accessible device. But that's beside the point.

You should check the device properties in device manager. If it's the Intel PRO 2100 card, then there's no bluetooth. If it's something else, Google it and you'll probably find the specs.

on the bottom of the laptop there should be a panel with screws, just unscrew it and pop off the lid.
