animallover54
Before I upgrade I would like to know if I need to save everything in my document folder before I do it. I have a lot of pictures there and other things of importance that I do not want to loose. Or will it be transferred when I upgrade? Thanks for any help or answers. CptMurphy
You should ALWAYS back everything up just on the off chance that the upgrade might get interrupted. But, when performing an upgrade, the only thing that's changed are the system files and the registry. Everything else stays in it's place. kartel
Rather than upgrade, why not save your pic and things on another harddrive and install 98se on a fresh partition, eg: format, install 98se, it would be the most stable
trickytwista
yep always wise to backup first, just incase something messes up
Andromeda43
And,you're planning on doing that upgrade, HOW?Do you have a legitimate Upgrade CD?Or do you intend to use an OEM CD?I hope you have the 25 digit key. It's a worthwhile upgrade and I do it all the time, but without the UpGrade Cd, it's a bit tricky.Cheers,Andromeda43
