N1K Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Hi guys,I need a free FTP client which I would install on few PC's in our company..It should have support for kerberos/active directory authentication and proxy/SOCKS4 support..thx all in advance..
Zxian Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Filezilla should be able to do that for you.http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/The main features of FileZilla are:Ability to resume Uploads/Downloads (if the server supports it)Custom Commands Site Manager with folders Keep Alive systemTimeout detectionFirewall supportSOCKS4/5 and HTTP1.1 Proxy supportSSL secured connectionsSFTP supportUpload/Download QueueDrag&DropMulti-language supportGSS authentication and encryption using Kerberos
N1K Posted February 21, 2006 Author Posted February 21, 2006 Thx Zxian, from what I've seen so far, this is what I was looking for. Just had to test it and that's it..
DigeratiPrime Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 i use portable filezillahttp://portableapps.com/apps/internet/ftp/portable_filezillaPortability Note: FileZilla itself is actually portable without modification. It will be bigger (11.6MB vs 3.3MB) and you'll lose the automatic settings backup and the ability to place the launcher outside the program directory. Just download the ZIP version from the FileZilla website instead of a standard installer.
albator Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Filezilla is the best, I agree, we all agree this is a rare thing on this board
matrix0978 Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 (edited) lol actually i like Flashfxp. ! Very clean, easy to use, and an appealing User Interface. Edited February 21, 2006 by matrix0978
Zxian Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I've actually been using WS_FTP 2006 recently. It's nice for me since I need to use SCP connections, as well as FTP. I've just found it to be a bit nicer, and I get it free from my university...
Ivanov Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 U can try i.FTP - free and open source FTP client for Windows and BeOS. It's support SFTP.
N1K Posted February 23, 2006 Author Posted February 23, 2006 Tested Filezilla and that is just what I needed, thx again Zxian!
