gamehead200 Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 Hey guys! Are there any tutorials on the web on how to use fdisk the right way? Cuz I want to repartition my drive by having 4-5 partitions...I have a 40GB drive:1GB = Windows 3.120GB = Windows XP10GB = Backup9GB = BackupI've tried using fdisk once, but I REALLY don't understand it...

gamehead200 Posted June 15, 2003 Author Posted June 15, 2003 Thanks Doggie! This is very useful to have around!
Aaron Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 fdisk won't resize partitions, so I don't think its at all possible you'll be able to get what you requested. If its really important that you use a DOS tool, then try out FIPS, or the partition magic 2 diskettes version.
Jay_Stealth Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 i agree with aaron eeugh how i despise fdisk with a passion its m$'s work of evil (seds gonna kill me for sayin m$) if u must use a dos tool use FIPS but otherwise id use PM8
Unwonted Posted July 3, 2003 Posted July 3, 2003 AEFDISK is far more functional than FDISK. You might want to try that instead. Also, if you want to know what you can do with most DOS programs, just write something like "AEFDISK /?".
