June 2, 200323 yr Every time me and my friend try to connect for file sharing, it sits and sits and sits, "Waiting for buddy's response". When my buddy is sitting parallel to me, and his says the same thing.Does anyone know why its doing this?Regards
June 2, 200323 yr When you say parallel, do you mean your buddy is on a LAN with you, and connected to the net?File Sharing probably doesn't support a PC to PC connection on a LAN. But I'll try this out myself later.

June 4, 200323 yr If you share an Internet connection (as I do) you probably will not be able to SEND files, but only receive.As it says on the MSN Messenger site:File TransferIf you use Internet connection sharing, you will not be able to send files using MSN Messenger. You will be able to receive them, but not send them.I guess theres downsides to sharing an Internet connection at home

June 4, 200323 yr well i can't even use it.. i taken my firewall down, i don't share connection.. straight 56k connection.. no one else i know can get it working

Didn't take very long either, 1.5 mbps cable and a wireless linksys router.
