i dont use any software, the bios is all i need. but hey, ive got a dfi.

Im with Ripken, BIOS, but i remember the elden days of P 133 when u wanted to overclock was to slap a bigger heatsink and a move jumpers for the extra speed... Now those where the days...

if you want to test for stability, try superPi

oh and if your going high on memory, grab the memtest .iso file, and burn with nero (image burner)

You should use Memtest86+. It uses the core of Memtest86 but clears some of the bugs.

Clockgen was nice when I had the 3500. It doesn't work with X2.

I'm doing everything in the BIOS now anyway so it's not a loss.

i have an opteron and clockgen doesnt work.

i also have windows 64bit edition so memtest doesnt work, thank god that dfi has memtest built into their bios.

Memtest86 isn't based on Windows anyways, thus you will be running outside of Windows. Thus the Windows version you have don't matter unless you can't extract the disk image to make a Memtest86 CD or floppy disk.
