bledd Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 there is an error with it, once its installed, the Royale style is set, but it does not appear in the Appearance drop down list..to FIX this, you need to rename C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Royale\luna.msstyles to Royale.msstyles
Martijn Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Well, I installed it, but now Firefox doesn't want to work anymore, I can't end the proces through task manager and I have to use Opera instead Also the memory usage of the firefox.exe proces is strange, it constantly changes from high to low :s

Zxian Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 (edited) Uh oh... I'll test this out as well... I don't use Firefox primarily, but it's a good backup. Can someone else verify the MD5 sum on the download page? I get something different (73ca4be16e674899b4f37122c7a64121). It looks like XPero copied the MD5 sum from the previous version. Edited November 14, 2005 by Zxian
Martijn Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Checked it with Shareaza and it seems the same: 73ca4be16e674899b4f37122c7a64121Firefox 1.04 running fine here EDIT: updated to 1.07 and it wont even launch Yeah, I had the same problem but I know how to fix it now. When you go into taskmanager and try to end the firefox.exe proces it will refuse it.The workaround is to use the uninstaller, when it says that the firefox process is still running you just have to click the ok button a few times, it will succeed after a few attempts.Let it uninstall firefox, don't worry, you won't lose any settings or bookmarks or whatever. Now use the 1.0.7 installer again to install firefox and after it's completed you will be able to use it again
Dutchdre Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Checked it with Shareaza and it seems the same: 73ca4be16e674899b4f37122c7a64121This is the right MD5 hash The guy who updated the download page was forgotten to update the md5 hash i've updated the site with the right hash.Have a nice day
azagahl Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 XPize causes known crashes in Windows Explorer (explrorer.exe) among other software. See the "Support" section of the webpage. Why would anyone want to install something like this??
Ðrзω™ Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 to make windows look good for a changemajority of users like myself hav no problems with it...and nice 1 XPero for making all the dialogs use MS Shell DLG/Tahoma...even my msn messenger convos use it looks much neater
Zxian Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 (edited) @Dutchdre - Thanks for the update. @azaghal - Read that line again carefully. The files ntdll.dll and shlwapi.dll may cause explorer.exe crashes.Key word - may. I've been running XPize on my computer without any problems whatsoever. No explorer crashes, no strange bugs.People put it on their computer because it looks a lot better than the default, while not taking up any more resources.@Ðrзω™ - Love the avatar!!! lmfao...EDIT - Firefox 1.07 works fine here. Dunno what's up with that... Edited November 14, 2005 by Zxian
