When a a manual "typical" install or an unattened install using /qb, InCD never gets installed.

I can install it manually by selecting custom install and then selecing InCD but is there any way I can edit the MSI to get InCD installed automatically.

Also, is there any way to set the default values for the file assocation dialog box that appers near the end of the install?

@keytotime: thx for the *.mst upgrades :)

i have a little pb :

with Nero7.0.1.2 decompressed (according to keytotime's guide) and the .MST posted in the 1st page, when i try to install Nero 7 using ...

msiexec /i "nero.msi path" TRANSFORMS="Nerocover.mst"

... i have an error (translated from french) :

"sorry, the installation software must be started with a SetupX.exe file"

did i made something wrong ?

or forgot to do something ?

PS: i'm using the english version.

thx

@r0sWell: I have the same problem, I think it's related to removing NeroScout.

Anyway, you can use msistub or startx to pass the msi.

Example:

msistub.exe nero.msi TRANSFORMS=nerocover.mst /qb-!

@all

You don't have to use XXMKLINK, you can insert the shortcuts in the mst (with AdminStudio 7) under "System Configuration" -> "Shortcuts" -> "Taskbar" -> "Start Menu" -> "Programs Menu" -> make a folder named whatever you like (Nero 7 Ultra Edition for example) and create there the shortcuts.

Edit: msistub works with this, but the shortcuts are still not created. :(

I keep getting a "Unable to access shell manager" error, with my own .mst as well as these provided. I havn't even deleted any files out of the admin install folder.

I think the posted mst files work best with english nero installation. Because for every other language, the translation files should also get copied (I need them), so I created my own mst for german install. :)

I should be reading more carefully................. :hello::hello::hello:

same here now.

using English Web version of "Nero 7.0.1.2" + keytotime's "nerocover.MST"

veryify that shellmanager.dll is copied to correct location

ive had so many errors with mine, now all are fixed (will post mine once im 100% sure)

ive had errors with the files listed on main page to remove if u wanted nero scout gone, so i dont remove those (just unregister the dll)

my mst leaves, nero, vision & recode :D

ya i did that , but since im installing nero vision, when u goto make dvd - add dvd files the file selection dialog (controlled by nerofiledialog.dll) doesnt show up
