Some little known multimedia shortcuts

Featured Replies

Just create new shortcuts and put those lines as targets :

A smaller Mixer :

C:\WINDOWS\sndvol32.exe /s

Directly calling the Recording Mixer (also small) :

C:\WINDOWS\sndvol32.exe /r /s

Same Master Volume as there is by default in the tray but from anywhere :

C:\WINDOWS\sndvol32.exe /t

The hidden Active Movie media player :

C:\WINDOWS\RunDLL32.EXE amovie.ocx,RunDll

sndvol32 can be run as smaller window also by holding down Ctrl and taping S [with same result as creating shortcut above].

If holding Ctrl and tapping S once again, the size of the mixer goes back to large [default].

This is valid for all Win32 OSes.

The hidden Active Movie media player :

C:\WINDOWS\RunDLL32.EXE amovie.ocx,RunDll

Thanx i have been wondering how to bring up ACTIVE MOVIE for awhile now!! (I was actually gonna remove it and clear the reg of all "Active movie" entries)

I didn't know it

Maybe we could learn many things by looking back when talking about Windows 98.

Thank you very much Dude111.
