DaVinciCode Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Hi,Although this isn't a Windows question, I can't find the answer anywhere !!!I'm planning to buy a copy of Norton Internet Security 2005 on ebay. Its a retail version, but someonw is selling it after having it installed on their PC for a year Will I get the 12 months free updates, or will I have to purchase a suscription ?Does anyone know ?
thespin Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Will I get the 12 months free updates, or will I have to purchase a suscription ?Willing to bet that you will have to purchase a subscription .... but I don't know either. But consider this, Windows XP already has a firewall. In addition a free one-year subscription for Computer Associate's (CA) quality EZ antivirus is available here:http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft/
epic Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 If you want software... purchase it from a licensed reseller.
Yahoo Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Use CA Etrust that is better than Norton u will get one year free use
coldoven Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Why not just keep your XP firewall updated and running, then use AVG free. It works good, is not a resource hog like Norton, and is... FREE!
zedex Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 DaVinciCode, you will have 12mths subscription from the day you install the software on your system, regardless of the fact that it was previously installed into another system.
