colinbate Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 NO WAYYour pc is all but top of the range now. Not very good offer if they will only give you new one at half price if you upgrade.RegardsColin Bate
Maleko Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 No way, u probably wouldnt find that much difference in spec ultimately. So in a way the company will be probably making money off u....Stick with what you got for a while longer, come on, I still got a Barton 3200+ running all the latest games sweetly!
Zxian Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 You seem like the kind of person who "needs" the absolute best, right here, right now.Are you really going to be happy getting those extra 3 fps in HL2 after having spent a buttload of money on top of what you've already got? If yes, then go for it. If not, don't. It's as simple as that.Honestly, you probably won't even notice a difference between your current setup and their next "top model".
At0mic Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 If your rich then thats up to you. Personally, I dont buy a new computer until I can afford one at least twice as fast otherwise there's no point.
Thai3g_Eclipse Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I have no idea why you would want to upgrade that. You have a strong processor, video card and a good amount of RAM. With those kind of components, you shouldn't even bother upgrading til the end of next year.
dee88 Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 (edited) ive just found out that the new pc isnt coming out until next summer. Edited September 27, 2005 by dee88
ripken204 Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 this belongs in the hardware forum, but you should just upgrade this comp. get the new audigy x-fi sound card. the dfi nf4 ultra. some nice mushkin 4000. and you should be set, you could get some sataII hhds too.
Andromeda43 Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Hardware Guy,,,,,What is the diff. between SATA and SATA2?

Redcloud Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Why upgrade? Like eveyone said, you have all you need. If you don't mind the effort in transferring files and you don't have left over hardware, and you want the best, ummm.... I still don't see the point in upgrading. I still have an extra HD from the last upgrade..
dee88 Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 just to let everyone know, that i didnt say i wanted to upgrade. i started this thead because the company that make my pc sent me an email asking me if i wanted to upgrade. and im just asking should i upgrade.
