I'm insulted... I'm not a monkey.... no wait... yes, I am... :P

Was wondering, as no Irish institution can give out personal details without authorisation. e.g. you live in Ireland you dictate who knows what about you. The police (and any other organisation that may record information on you) must (when asked) show any information contained in their files to you, and cannot give this information to anyone else. So was wondering how access could be granted to my personal info without my say so
