PowerDVD Subtitles help

Hello people,

I have a file in .avi extention, and got the subtitles of the movie as well. Can anyone tell me how do I Use the subtitles, i mean, what to name the .sub file? Which directory to put it in and any other pre-requisites.

well that means that you would have to play 2 videos at the same time or something like that. maybe you could encode the avi to a dvd format and then put in the subs, but im just guessing.

i think PowerDVD plays the .avi files. is it that it doesnt .avi with subtitles?

i dont like to play a movie with winamp , and play an .mp3 with powerdvd.

so , i use powerdvd for DVDs , bsplayer for .avi , winamp for .mp3.

what reason have you for playing an avi with powerdvd ?

Hi!

You have to rename the sub file same as the avi file and put it in the same directory ex :(xxxx.avi - xxxx.sub or xxxx.srt)

You also need a plugin like VSFilter http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli
