i used

oo_defrag_pro.msi /QB
oo_defrag_pro.msi /qn /norestart
oo_defrag_pro.msi /qn REBOOT=Suppress

but my pc always restart.

How can I silently install that soft ,no restart?

The version is O&O Defrag V8 Pro.

@AzBill5, that's what he has already tried. Also, telling him to run "O&O.reg" without giving him the contents isn't helpful. I assume you're referring to the User, Company, and SerialNo keys in "HKLM\Software\O&O\O&O Defrag\8.0\Pro\licenses", which have nothing to do with rebooting and don't pertain to his question.

@Huihot, I use O&O Defrag Professional 8.0.1398 with just the /qb switch and it works fine. No reboot. Are you sure the problem isn't elsewhere?

Grab oodsh.dll and oodshrs.dll from your install dir.

Use WinRAR to create a self extractor with these files to extract to "OO Software\Defrag Professional" (without quotes).

Then add this line to Setup "regsvr32 /s oodsh.dll" (without quotes) and set the extraction to silent and overwrite all.

Then all you have to do is execute it post install.

Heres my SFX comment if it helps

Path=OO Software\Defrag Professional
SavePath
Setup=regsvr32 /s oodsh.dll
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

Only draw back is if you uninstall O&O it leaves these dll's in the install dir and the shell extension.

All you need to do is unregister oodsh.dll and delete it (or just use unlocker).
