I have just recently bought Action Replay MAX EVO Edition for PS2.

I have heard that this can play backup PS2 games.

I was think of making a backup of my GT4 after hearing that my mate disk kept on freezing after each race.

I want to know how to play them ARMAX. Does anyone know? Please could you tell me.

I am also having trouble using the DVD X Region on my PS2 Slim. It doesn't not play them, they come in Black ans White, with no sound.

sorry but at the moment is not possible to run a backup of your original gt4 using AR Max or a similar cog-swap method.

How about other PS2 Games?

Cos I can't find anyway to work it.

ive have tried similar progs before, the best one to decrypt the game is yours truly: "DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0". Had the most of luck with this program. Then i use Swap Magic 3 to boot up a back up of a game.

I know there is mods for this kinda of stuff, but this method is cheaper.....

Can you not boot from AR MAX?

you can boot from AR and the swap the backup disk but i think this isn't the correct forum

correct forum should be a specialized ps2 forum. soon a guy will come with "how can i play the gamez i downloaded on my ps2?!".

actually you can backup gt4 BUT you know is a dvd9. only some chips are able to run those 1:1 backups.

there's a tool (toxic dual layer patcher) that will let you patch the game and (technically) it'll run with any modchip but there is a lot of people claiming that tool only works sometimes

I'd recommend EurAsia for this type of thing. I modded my xbox and use that forum all the time to post questions. They have a section of every gaming console and more.

Also I have a v12 PS2 (slimline), so it will not work on that, accoriding to the site.
