Is there a way to change to a specified theme upon restart? I have my unattened DVD install several themes upon running. But it defaults to the Crystal XP. I have a prefered theme that overlaps with crystal xp, so I get the best of the both worlds.

Winnt.sif

[shell]  DefaultStartPanelOff = Yes

  DefaultThemesOff = No

  CustomDefaultThemeFile = "%Windir%\Resources\Themes\GANT_OS_Blue.theme"

You can change the CustomDefaultThemeFile to the theme that is located.

I know how to set the default theme upon install but after installing 5 different ones, it overights what I told it to default to. I sets the last one as the default. I need it to be changed upon restart.

%SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL %SystemRoot%\system32\desk.cpl desk,@Themes /Action:OpenTheme /file:"%1"

where %1 is your desired themefile

Where exactly would you copy and paste this information into a reg file and if so which one?

I have a similar question. I can run that command-line and it opens up the display applet showing the desired theme. Is there a switch to have it automatically apply that theme?
