I need a good media player that organizes playlists like WMP and has taskbar controls.It will also be nice that it is light

Winamp is probably what you'd want then. It's got a very nice Media Library and doesn't take up very much resources.

I've never looked back to WMP since I switched ages ago.

It really doesn't matter who owns the program. Its still free (mostly), and you aren't forced to upgrade.

I like WinAmp cause it makes playlists that my portable MP3 player can use.
