Im pretty sure you wouldnt get a loop if it was a bootable cd... it would just simply boot to the cd automatically if you had it in there

The only way I know you can work with a CD where you removed the BOOTFIX.BIN file it the following:

In you BIOS, you'll have to set the boot device priority to

1- HARD DRIVE

2- CD-ROM

So when you boot for the first time, since there is nothing to boot on the hard drive, it will boot from the CD-ROM. After the TextSetup mode is done, the computer reboot and will continue to the hard drive since there is something to boot now...

Remember that your Hard Drive must NOT be bootable for this to work...
