AVG to scan Messenger

Hi,

How can I configure AVG (antivirus), to scan files recieved with MSN Messenger?

(automatically, after recieved is completed)

Open messenger and then go to tools then options. The go to the messages tab, and place a check mark under file transfer on Scan files for viruses using: and then click on Browse to go to the AVG executable to scan for the viruses.

i think its avgcc.exe if i remember correctly..i had been using avg for a year earlier..

AVGCC.exe is the Control Center. I don't think that's the scanning function itself. What about "AVG.exe"?

AVG.exe will open the main AVG interface itself..and the user will have to select the file to scan. If its not avgcc.exe, try avgw.exe.

Could be me, but if AVG supports real-time protection (so that every incoming file will be scanned) then why should you want to scan Messenger?

AVGW.EXE opens a DOS Command-Line, I'm not sure it does the work...
