m8E Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 I found a website which along with other things says it can scan a computer for Trojan Horses:http://www.windowsecurity.com/In order to conduct it's scan it first wants to install 'TrojanScan' on your computer. I've never seen this website before, does anyone know if this is a good and trusted website and scanning facility?
oofki Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 Yeah I have been on that site before it is legit.
matrix0978 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Eh, i tend not to like those tpye of things. I usually just go for the MAIN stream products and software like Norton and things like that.
epic Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 This is better...http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
m8E Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 I've had a look at that just now and it's more of a virus scanner than Trojan isn't it? or does it scan trojans too?
m8E Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 I just downloaded and ran that Stinger scanner and not only does it check for virus' but it also for trojans and variants, thanks epic
oofki Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Well I usually use www.pandasoftware.com/activescan
m8E Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 I'll take a look at that one oofki, does it scan for trojans?
m8E Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 I've just taken a look at that website and attempted a scan but it wants your email address before it will do a scan, how unsecure is that!
