Silent install switch for Adobe Reader 7

i am using Reader.exe /S/v/qn

it's not working. and i believe i saw it working with 6.

also, i have seen msi files for reader. how do i extract these? i tried using winrar but it doesn't give me the option when i right click on the install file.

start the install, when it gets to the first window goto c:\program files\adobe\reader\7.0\setup i think it is, if not there try temp directory

no you need msi and cab.

here is what i did

1. Install Adobe Acrobat 7 (AdbeRdr70_enu_full.exe)

2. Go to

c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 7.0\setup files\rdrbig\enu

3. You will find several files.

take the Adobe Acrobat 7.msi and rename to Setup.msi

Here is how u would repack the files Use Winrar and Create a SFX

Add this to you your RegTweaks [remove the Eula ]

you can also build an administrative installation point that will reduce the size "msiexec.exe /a path\adobereader7.msi"

Original file AdbeRdr70_enu_full.exe - 19.8 MB

Repacked file Acrobat Reader 7.0.rar - 23.3 MB

is this OK?

Sun's Java SE 5.0 Update 1 Silent installation package - 10,2 MB (10.725.649 bytes)
