$OEM$ Folder not copying itself to HD..

Featured Replies

the $OEM$ folder not copying itself to the hard disk for some reason..

the only change i made since the last time i tested the disk was creating a user controlled winnt.sif ... i don't know how this change could effect.. i got some other problem when using user controlled winnt.sif - when i'm changing the user name to, say "Adiel" , after installation , i need to log in as administrator and my user "Adiel" is not shown in the welcome screen ..

here's my winnt.sif :

Alanoll will be angry when he sees this topic :)

Why should he??

i did searched the forum for this problem , nothing came up , so

there's nothing to be angry at . i've learnt my lesson already

(BUMPING and searching , rofl how sad :P )

and i'll try this thank u

Why should he??
Well, kenedy was saying so humorously, I guess.

But even in a serious vein, this one's got to be simply the Q asked the most number of times - your search must have done something strange to not turn up the answer. Anyways, the solution is seen now, and all the best for your CD. :thumbup

And finally, posting your key publicly is a bad idea (edited out now).

i got some other problem when using user controlled winnt.sif - when i'm changing the user name to, say "Adiel" , after installation , i need to log in as administrator and my user "Adiel" is not shown in the welcome screen ..

... :rolleyes:

Try this:

Make sure OEMPreinstall=Yes

Make sure $OEM$ is in the root of the directory structure.

To logon as Administrator, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice.

no no tguy , i don't want to log as administrator , i want to login with

the user i've Creater ("Adiel") .. that's my problem .. this is more clear now? :P

you should be able to just add this to your registry tweaks with the proper usernames, etc...

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

;Replace InsertName value with the Username you want to autologin with.

;Replace InsertPassword value with the password corresponding to the Username specified.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

"DefaultUserName"="InsertName"

"DefaultPassword"="InsertPassword"

"AutoAdminLogon"="1"

but i don't want it to be AutoLogon.

i just want that in the Welcome Screen with the user selection ,

my user "Adiel" will be shown , and not just the administrator account .

Ohhh you dont want it to autologon? Perhaps ummmmm
