WinKey + L

WinKey is between your CTRL and ALT key.

If you want your PC lock to be password-protected, set a password on your admin account in the Control Panel > Users section.

You can use TweakUI to login automatically with your password to save you typing it in on WinXP boot up.

Yes it does look like a login screen, but it doesn't reload all your background apps like a proper login does. Your apps are still active when you lock the PC.

Yeah, thats Winkey and L. Its what I use on my Lan Arena, nobody else can get in. I have fast user switching disabled so its not that.

That shortcut works a treat on Win2k as well!! Saves me having to CTRL ALT DEL and selecting "Lock Computer"
