TZCopyprotection is a CD-R utility which creates a copy-protected CD by adding 4 dummy audio tracks and which changes the filesize to 900 MB. CDRWIN can then be used to burn the CD-Image & Cue-Sheet to a CD-R.

Looks good, if you ask me.

(not that I'm going to try it, though. I'm happy with my unprotected disk, and will let one of you be the "testers" to tell me whether its good for the purpose.)

I took a quick look at the link you posted Alanoll but they seems to be "oldies" software... and most of them where designed for Audio purpose.

Anyway, I'll try to get some time to try out the one mentionned by prathapml... does CDRWIN still exist? I used this one so long ago

How to use the Program?

  select file and Push Button Step two(repeat until you are satisfy)

- Select the file that you want to change your lenght and Push step three

  (repeat until you are satisfy)

Things you should know

- TZcopyprotection do not protect AUDIO disk

- TZcopyprotection do not protect disk in other FILE SYSTEM (HFS,ROCK RIDGE,etc..)

diferent that ISO9660 and its extention JOLIET

- TZcopyprotection is not designed for protect PSX disk

Know Bugs

- I do not sure if this protection be 100% compatible(step one do severals

  modifications)

- People with raw burner use MODE1/2048 or MODE2/2336

- Step 2 is not supported by mixedmode CD

- Use step 2 before step 3

- Put in the Second Data Track small files

Commom Problem

My Burner do not support tracks less than 4 second?

- Use only step 1 and 3

- Change the statement of postgap 00:02:00 to postgap 00:04:00

- Please do not try this with step 2

i made my iso, hid the folders

now i burned the dVD

i am look at the root i can't see software anymore

when i go to run %cdrom%\software i get an error.

when i run this will it work?

Yes it will. It is hidden, but it is still accessible.

yeah i've looked at it... and basic protection does protect against nero/easy cd creator

use wtm cd protect if you have to protect your cd -> protects against clone cd too

maybe we could use a commercial cd protection, like LaserLock (I read that the last version is still impossible to copy, list like SecuROM), SecuROM,... but I don't know how I could get this to put on my CD; I'm looking for a good CD protector for a Nin1 XP CD (optimized ISO with mkisofs). If anyone has a good idea...
