bucketbuster Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Maybe it is your antivirus that is not compatible with XP(SP2)?

nuhi Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I had those problems when disabling Nvidia driver services...or it's startup stuff. So if you use Nvidia driver try reinstalling it and see if that solved your problem.

tguy Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 Some Symantec products have been known to cause this issue as well. Search their knowledgebase if you are using their products for assistance.
CoffeeFiend Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Theres hundreds of things that can cause this. Latest one I've ran into was SpySweeper (depends in you install the shell hooks - which do get installed by default unattended install).Which was fixed by removing it by importing this reg fileWindows Registry Editor Version 5.00[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\SpySweeper]You might have to look deeper
MHz Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Check your Dr.watson logs for what is causing this.
kanLiDaL Posted April 16, 2005 Author Posted April 16, 2005 thanks its solved I don't use norton stuff they f** up your registry
