I have discovered that fine tweaking these settings is very hard. But I figured out the following:

You need to edit them all because only then they wiil apply. Self-Defined Settings are almost impossible to achieve. I wanted to clear this up.

It sets the default value, user settings should override it.

ListviewWatermark regTweak must apply after user actually logon.
