Doom 1 in Doom 3!?

There's supposed to be a Doom95 in Doom3, but I don't think anyone's managed to get to it yet

Bring the console up with [~] and type the following codes in to blow

the monsters back to hell:)

aviDemo = Saves a demo of your playing to an AVI movie file

benchmark = Game Benchmark

doomhell = Skip all levels to last

freeze = Freeze all on screen

gfxinfo = Graphicscard infomation

god = God mode

noclip = No Clip

notarget = Invisibility to most enemies

com_drawfps 1 = Show FPS

give all = Full load of weapons and ammo

give doom95 = Load the '95 version of Doom

give keys = Acquire all the keys you'll ever need

give weapon_machinegun = Machinegun

give weapon_shotgun = Shotgun

give weapon_plasmagun = Plasmagun

give weapon_bfg = BFG

give weapon_chainsaw = Chainsaw

give weapon_rocketlauncher = Rocket Launcher

status = Your game status

quit = Quid aka Exit

I was about to do it when all the lights went blank in the game, could walk around seeing the bright things but otherwise just went black. Lowered the settings and it seems to be okay but looks naff... whats going on???

Oh and I tried the ~ but nothing comes up

don't know if it's a hardware problem but you can try to search for DoomConfig.cfg and then look for a setting

seta r_gamma "1"

change it to 1.2 or 1.4 for me it's enought.

Maybe you need to bring down the console, and type that cheat at the main menu screen? (before starting any game-play)

It ended up being my overclocked ti4600, I had to return the clock speeds to default. Can only run it in medium quality at 800x600 now

How to boost your Doom3 performance by 40% on ATI hardware

Download this file:

Extract so that the shader file goes under doom3\base\glprogs. This replaces a dependent texture read with equivalent math, which runs better on ATI cards, but seems to run slower on NV boards, so only apply this if you got an ATI card.

Save the file and close your text editor. WinRar will ask if you want to update the file in the archive, select yes. Close WinRar and enjoy about 40% higher performance in Doom3. Haven't done extensive testing yet, but my performance went from 34fps in 1280x1024 to 48fps.
