Here is my Regtweak with (i hope) all tweaks I have found (read 3 times the 85 pages here!!)

some tweaks I have disabled because I found them usefull, not to use :-)

SHOW My regtweaks.txt

Questions I have:

-Screen Resolution is 1280x1024 in winnt.sif but after regtweaks.reg its 1024x768 -> which key is wrong?

-Desktop Effects are all "active", i only need these:

Aufnahme1.jpg

How can I see in Explorer the "complete network" without press rightclick to the network and use "explore"?

Aufnahme2.jpg

;Automatisch Gesamtes Netzwerk anzeigen

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}\shell]@="Open"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}\shell\Open]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}\shell\Open\command]

@="Explorer.exe /E,::{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}"

now I see with clicking "network icon from desktop" the "explored" network directly,...

... but I found no setting for this "automatic explore" in windows explorer

-How can I delete the Java Start Menü from START/PROGRAMS (Startmenu) ?

I automaticaly install sun java with installing winxp ($oem$) but I can't delete this menu path!

del_java.cmd

RD /S /Q "%AllUsersProfile%\Startmenü\Programme\Java Web Start"
is without any result.. it's not deleted

-How can I move from Start/Programs/"Zubehör or Accessories" the Windows Explorer to Start/Programs ?

-How can I automaticaly add windows explorer to my quicklink bar? -> especialy with this comment that it opens automaticaly with harddrive C:\ explored ?

rightclick explorer link -> target %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,/e,C:\

-Thanks :-)

@Spilo

Java Web Start isn't a folder, it's a link.

Use this (it works for me):

del /f /q "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\Java Web Start.lnk"

You have to adjust the English names to the German ones.

and there is also a folder in startmenu!

I can remove the link also, but not the folder!

Try something like this:

del "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\FOLDER NAME"\*.* /q /s
rmdir "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\FOLDER NAME" /q /s

That reg tweak to delete the "Links" folder (under Favorites) and keep it from coming back -- it works great. But in Favorites, I also get a sub-folder called "Favorites". No matter how many times I delete it, it keeps coming back. Is there a similar trick to make it go away?

FWIW -- it also creates a little button next to the "Go" button. When I delete the "Favorites" sub-folder, the button goes away. But then they both come back.

;Disable links folder in explorer favorites so it never appears again.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar]
"LinksFolderName"=-
"LinksFolderName"=""
"Locked"=dword:00000001

I'm already using that tweak. But I end up with both a "Links" sub-folder, and a "Favorites" sub-folder. The Links never comes back after deleting it, but the Favorites one keeps comig back.

youre sure? make sure you have it delete the key, then recreate it and set it locked...there was another reg tweak that someone posted that did only one of the 2 steps...either deleted and didnt recreate, or erased the value but didnt delete the key first...

Not sure this has been mentioned before, as the search nor my reg files show it:
