sven Posted June 9, 2004 Share Posted June 9, 2004 lets say i have a user on my xp machine, lets call him mark. well, mark abuses his right to the internet and wastes my time and everyone elses, what i would like to find out is if theres a way to only block him from getting on the internet. he also spends all his time playing internet games, quite unproductive. if anyone knows of a way, please tell me.ps. the faster the better Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Marsden Posted June 9, 2004 Share Posted June 9, 2004 Fire up the MMC console and select Local Computer PolicyWork your way down to Computer Configuration and then Security Settings.Now select Software Restriction Policies.Select Security Levels.You now have two choices...Disallowed where Software will not run, regardless of the access rights of the user.Unrestricted where Software access rights are determined by the access rights of the user. (This is the default state)Lock your user down from here... you can turn off a program or go so far as to turn off different versions of the same program so your user can't run updated versions...
