Aaron
Go into the Security Center and look at the left pane, select "Change the way Security Center alerts me" and uncheck all the boxes to disable all notifications. It should stop bothering you from then on.

Shadow_Fi
Well, ok, it is off now i think (I cannot change the way it alerts me anymore, tweaked from registry.) But, thers still a problem. I have one keygenerator, and it doesnt work. I mean it still doesnt work. I sended it to my m8, and he opened it. On his computer it works fine, and he has SP1. That is problem number one. Second problem is that stupid question. When i launch some Setup, it asks, Are you sure you want to open this bla bla bla.. Even if my security center is off. Is there patch, or some tweaked SP2, where is no this stuff, i mean like Lite SP2?Thanks..
gosh
Aaron can help you with the keygen problem SP2 seems to remember if you downloaded a file, probably using the ntfs journal or a stream? I think there's registry keys you can use to disable it. Go to www.microsoft.com/SP2Preview and download the documents they got there. And try the newsgroups too.-gosh
Shadow_Fi
Guys, s***. I hate this. I downloaded XPlite, and it says that my fileprotection is on. Then theres a button "Turn off fileprotection". Or maybe it doesnt support SP2 Candidate 1? only beta? i dont know, i just cant turn off, that **** fileprotection.... Any ideas? Post me all, REG script, and any patches\dlls here, or on my mail. shed@rin.ruThanks...

Shadow_Fi
well ok, i have the DLL. Now, i need to install it. Windows says that its in use. Hhm, i have NTFS, so i cannot use my dos bootdiskets. Does anyone have some nice boot disket, which supports NTFS, and is easy to use, like "Volkov Commander".Thanks...
Denney
Follow these steps:Add the following registry entry:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Winlogon]"SFCSetting"=dword:ffffff9fRename C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc_os.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc_os.bak (cancel the file protection popup)Copy the hacked sfc_os.dll file into the system32 directory (again, cancel the file protection popup).Reboot. Once you have rebooted, you will no longer have any problems (you can also delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\sfc_os.bak if you want).
jrzycrim
You might try installing that in safe mode. If it still does not work. Use the recovery console. If you don't know how, it's pretty easy:http://www.wown.com/pages/article_p.asp?id=251From there, you can replace any file.Hope this helps. Alanoll
...I have one keygenerator, and it doesnt work. I mean it still doesnt work. I sended it to my m8, and he opened it. On his computer it works fine, and he has SP1...please don't talk about things that will circumvent protections. Read the rules on discussing that. Basically, Don't.Just a general note on some programs working and some not. It's because of the new memory protections and what not. SP2 doesn't like Xplode and some other commercial programs. I believe that's why they made RC1 publice, to make sure that there would be compatibility with apps.
