MrGRiM Posted May 3 Posted May 3 (edited) Hi mate, I am still on Windows 10 but been testing out StartAllBack since Windows 11 was released, I have noticed that since 22H2 version 3.6.16 that the taskbar has not been been rendering properly, the item buttons do not respect the content margins and the task bar height seems buggy and sometimes is too high and most of the time too low, changing the taskbar icon size is too much or too little, also the Taskbar TaskBandExtendedUI font has changed and now seems to use the same font as the clock used to be but now the clock font has changed and does not seem to be controlled by the msstyles, all these changes happened after 3.6.16 and it has made the program far less usable and desirable, so much so that I would rather stay on Windows 10, even though I have finally found out about WindHawk and the ability to restore the Window borders by modifying the udwm.dll. Can you please make StartAllBack great again and restore msstyles control over the theme elements or at least make it an option, this is the last thing that is stopping me from updating to Windows 11 and I am sure I am not the only one, I love your work and I am grateful for your continued support with these amazing mods, you have made Windows 10 what it was meant to be, please do the same for Windows 11. Tihiy Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Hello old friend, I'm afraid you're the rare one theming so hard. Would you share msstyles? 1
MrGRiM Posted May 3 Author Posted May 3 Hello mate, yeah I do not theme much these days, I have only been trying to keep my old ones working, I feel like I have refined it a little bit over the years though. Here is my current theme https://virtualcustoms.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=93905&d=1746008027, I use it with OldNewExplorer and it works on Windows 10 22H2 all the way up to Windows 11 24H2

As already discuted on your forum, since a version (I don't remember which one but it's been a long time) SAB overwrites some modifications of the theme, but not all (while some SAB features are better than the "original" but without overwriting it) That's why many people make a mod I guess (personally I don't have the time and the desire) and always use 3.9bb (better features) Edited Wednesday at 03:04 PM by tistou77
