Having Problems with Realtek HD Audio on Win 98 SE Laptop

Hello, I am new here and have read some topics about my problem but could not find a solution yet :(

I have installed Windows 98 SE on my 5 year old Lenovo Laptop (Model B50-80) and everything works fine except the audio.

The laptop has a Realtek HD Audio onboard Soundcard but I could not find a working driver yet.

No audio devices were detected in the device manager and also no unknown PCI devices.

I have also a version of windows 10 running on this laptop so I can provide the PCI data if it helps:

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0235&&SUBSYS_17AA380A&REV_1000

I hope someone can help me or give me a hint for finding a solution :)

Feel free to ask me for more relevant information :)

There is an ongoing thread trying to accomplish just this:

With that being said, I'm going to lock this so that we don't start having conversations about it in a bunch of threads so if a solution is found, then it'll be easier to locate instead of mucking through threads trying to find it.
