June 26, 20197 yr Hi, I downloaded the latest version of Ccleaner 5.59, but this doesn´t work in Windows XP embedded (all updates). The file is unpacked but then nothing happens. I tried to uninstall the earlier version completely, but this didn´t help. Any idea?
June 26, 20197 yr It works fine for me, I checked on three systems, including XP x64. I used the slim installer: https://download.ccleaner.com/slim/ccsetup559_slim.exe
June 26, 20197 yr Author Strangely enough, this worked fine! But difficult to understand why. I had about the same problem with v 5.58, but it worked after many attempts. Is there any difference between the slim version and the average one? Can I find the slim version at the same place next time - Ccleaner is updated rather often... Anyway, thank you very much!

As far as I know, in the slim version there are no additional installers (toolbars, google chrome and so on). But program files should not be different.
