I'm been thinking about switching to ace-host's special package from one and one but I have to convince my dad it's a decent service xD

Has any else used this or is using it?

I Googled for some reviews, and most notably this post came up:

AVOID ACE HOST AT ALL COSTS

There's posts in that thread that support it, and posts that rip it to shreds. Sorry I can't add any personal experience, I haven't had any problems with 1&1 so I've had no reason to research others :)

Ace-host actually isnt as good as I thought x_x you pay a lump sum of £60 at the start, £4 montly after that, and another lump sum when it expires. But they dont say that ofcouse.

It was too good to be true =( Is there any hosts out there that offer the same kind of stuff? 2GB space, 60GB B/D, MYsql? But my dad can only get it if it's lump sum paid. =(

I've said it sooooooo many times and I'll say it again.

1. 1 and 1 - READ THEIR TOS! If you do not read it and understand it you will be in a world of hurt if you ever try to move.

2. There is NO such thing as unlimited. Do not fall for it. It does not exist.

Also, not that I need to plug my company as people on this board can contest to the support and stability of eMax Hosting but we are running a special this month.

DOUBLE EVERYTHING!

What about 1and1's TOS? I didn't see anything horribly bad in there- maybe I didn't look hard enough. Does it say like, you can't have your MySQL database if you move or something?

I currently have 1and1 and was about to switch to Powweb.com for my host.. but that jc-host.com is looking very good.

Powweb has 1 plan only.. 1GB of space (1000MB actually) but 5GB DAILY transfer rate. $7.77 a month.
