AlmondScar Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 I'm been thinking about switching to ace-host's special package from one and one but I have to convince my dad it's a decent service xDHas any else used this or is using it?
Datalore Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I Googled for some reviews, and most notably this post came up:AVOID ACE HOST AT ALL COSTSThere's posts in that thread that support it, and posts that rip it to shreds. Sorry I can't add any personal experience, I haven't had any problems with 1&1 so I've had no reason to research others
AlmondScar Posted April 10, 2004 Author Posted April 10, 2004 hmm, it's just ace-host is far cheaper, and a friend of mine is hsoted on it and shes had no problems, and im ordering the same package as her n_nThankyou so much for doing research and your info is appeaciated! =)
Shun Di Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I use TotalChoiceHosting.com, great deals, and I haven't had a problem yet
gamehead200 Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 eMax Hosting... This is my second year with them!
CuBie Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 onehost.ws - There prices rock :punk: and so does there service! There servers have got everything!Chris
Shun Di Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Ah, but cubie, have you read their TOS? Why would you want an unlimited plan if you can't use it
AlmondScar Posted April 11, 2004 Author Posted April 11, 2004 Ace-host actually isnt as good as I thought x_x you pay a lump sum of £60 at the start, £4 montly after that, and another lump sum when it expires. But they dont say that ofcouse. It was too good to be true =( Is there any hosts out there that offer the same kind of stuff? 2GB space, 60GB B/D, MYsql? But my dad can only get it if it's lump sum paid. =(
XPerties Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 I've said it sooooooo many times and I'll say it again.1. 1 and 1 - READ THEIR TOS! If you do not read it and understand it you will be in a world of hurt if you ever try to move. 2. There is NO such thing as unlimited. Do not fall for it. It does not exist. Also, not that I need to plug my company as people on this board can contest to the support and stability of eMax Hosting but we are running a special this month.DOUBLE EVERYTHING!View the drop down details here:http://www.emaxhosting.com/share.php
Datalore Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 What about 1and1's TOS? I didn't see anything horribly bad in there- maybe I didn't look hard enough. Does it say like, you can't have your MySQL database if you move or something?
Justice Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 I currently have 1and1 and was about to switch to Powweb.com for my host.. but that jc-host.com is looking very good. Powweb has 1 plan only.. 1GB of space (1000MB actually) but 5GB DAILY transfer rate. $7.77 a month.
