zhongtiao1 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Is there a Driver Development Kit specifically for Windows ME? Or will the Windows 98 Driver Development Kit I found online work just fine?
netbookdelgob Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Yes, there is a ME DDK. Quote Aug 21, 2000 Microsoft announced this week that it had released the long-awaited Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me) Device Drive Kit (DDK), which will enable software developers to write drivers for the new OS. Unlike previous versions of the DDK, which were OS specific--Microsoft used to supply different versions for Windows 2000 and Windows 98, for example--the new Windows DDK supports all current versions of Windows, including Win2K and Windows Me. The Windows DDK specifically addresses Windows Driver Model (WDM) modem driver development, DirectX 7.0, and other driver issues that affect both Windows Me and Windows 2000. So, using windows 2000/xp ddk should work. Just stay away from the 2000/XP specific functionality.

submix8c Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Conxion link - deader than a doornail (like all other Conxion links). https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://mssjus.www.conxion.com/download/winddk/install/august00/winme/en-us/* You'll probably have to get it from "other" sources (based on filename).

Sure, guess WHY exactly I explicitly posted the filename? http://en.lmgtfy.com/?q=Wme_DDK.exe jaclaz
submix8c Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Also - God bless Russians (I found it also - now archived). Win 98, NT4, Win2k also "available" (FWIW).
