Best program to create an image of Windows 98

HUH???? Do you Google/Bing/Yahoo/etc.? (sheesh!!!)

hdd backup image "windows 98"
CloneZilla...

 

 

Yes i do... but i want to know what the best version for Windows 98. maybe because its really old it needs a special version.

No. There is no "best version". I use Ghost, but that's not free. CloneZilla is (as is many others).

 

Cloning/Imaging isn't done on a Running OS. It's done via a Bootable Media. That makes the OS irrelevant.

Strangely enough, clonezilla won't actually produce a "clone" image (and "normally" not even ghost), but rather a "backup" image.

 

Depending on which kind of image you want to make you might want to use Partition Saving instead:

If you want to make a straight, raw image of the hard disk or a partition, you can use the Linux dd command. It will be very slow, though, depending on the size of your hard disk.
